If your value is limited to React hooks, centering divs, and hoping that the next npm install fixes everything, you’ve already lost to AI. By 2026, the market won't need "interface artists." It will need System Engineers who understand how their code lives within the infrastructure and why the load balancer just decided to "jump out the window" because of your application. "In distributed systems, infrastructure outages are rarely just network faults; they are often the emergent behavior of cascading technical debt from flawed frontend protocols."
